he was born in Herzebrock (Germany - North Rhine-Westphalia) in 1959. From 1984 to 1987 he studied fine arts (painting) under Prof. Inge Höher at Fachhochschule (University of applied sciences) Bielefeld. He spent a two year study visit in Rome (Italy) from 1994 to 1995. Since 1996 he works and lives in Frankfurt and its neighbouring city Offenbach (both Germany - Hessia).
He founded the producers galery KUNST RAUM MATO at Offenbach in 2002 on the premises of the former MATO factory which offers plenty of space for studios and an exibition hall. In 2004 Johannes Kriesche was granted the local Lions Club's artist award „Offenbacher Löwe“. Since 1989 his work is shown both locally and national. He spent work visits to various cities in Germany as well as other European countries.
